Mothers rarely forget their children, but even if they do, the Lord our Father does not forget us, no matter what we do. Sometimes we create an image of a stern father when we think of God. We think of Him as impatient with our faults and always at the ready to punish us.
God's love for us is so unlike this scary picture we paint of Him. His love for us exceeds the pain our sins cause Him. This is why His love moved Him to take care of our sins. His love has covered our sins - past, present and future sins. All we have to do is accept His Love, and allow the power of His Love shown on the cross to affect our lives and wash our scarlet sins as white as snow.
