It's not all about me - Part 2

Joseph realised his pain was for the salvation of his family. David killed Goliath to glorify a Heavenly Kingdom. Job suffered because God wanted to proof a point to His enemy, Satan.  His suffering was to lift up and glorify God's name.

In spite of the great evil done by the people of Nineveh, God was not so much concerned about Jonah's grief and anger towards them. Jonah had a point, but it was not essentially about Jonah's feelings, it regarded a Kingdom business. It is about the souls of men that must be snatched from destruction.

God loves us, but we have to mature from seeing just us in the picture. There is a greater picture.  It is not just about our needs and feelings. It is a warfare against evil and good. It is a battle for the souls of men. Our perception ought to change so we can change this world. When Jonah changed his mind. A nation was saved from destruction. It is our turn to transform the world. Are you ready?

It's not all about me

God loves us as individuals, and knows each one of us by name. He knows the hairs on our head, and captures our tears in a bottle.
John 3:16; Isaiah 49:26 ; Luke12:7; Psalm 56:8

God's love for us extends into a global vision to save mankind - For God so loved the world (you and I), that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believed in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God is on a mission to snatch His creation from eternal doom. Each one of us comes into the picture, we are a minute part of a beautiful picture, a gem in a masterpiece.  We are valued beyond words. However, this is not all about us as individuals.  It is a family issue. It is a Kingdom affair, and about a Heavenly war.

God's family - the believers are the very essence of Jesus's birth and death. We matter enormously to God as a family unit. Therefore, God essentially looks at the long haul benefits for His family.  This is why John Mark was important to Barnabas - Acts 15:36-41.

To Paul, John Mark needed to be out, but God wanted him in. John Mark proved himself and got Paul to admit he probably was wrong in misjudging him earlier on and writing him off. 2 Timothy 4:11. Ministry is not about an individual. It is about a Kingdom and a family. No one must be sidetracked.
