There is life after death. Jesus used the story of lazarus and the rich man to warn us that there is judgement after death, and that we will reap what we sow on Earth.

The fruits of our lives live on. Even until today, people study the lives of God's Generals such as Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Aaron, Joshua, Jeremiah, Peter, Paul , Smith Wigglesworth , et cetera.
In the story of Elisha, even when he was dead and buried, his legacy lived on. It has been recorded in the Bible how a corpse was dropped into his grave, and the dead person came back to life. 2 Kings 13:21. The power of God encapsulated in Elisha was still at work even though he had been physically declared dead. This is because when we die in the Lord, we simply sleep, and live on. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
God is the resurrection and life, so if you have God, you have life eternal. Let us encourage ourselves with this truth.
