Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
God, through His Son Jesus Christ, paid dearly for our sins so that we could be forgiven. By the death of Jesus on the cross, we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins, if only we will believe in our hearts and confess it with our mouths.
Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
The meaning of the word "Salvation" originates from the Hebrew word called "Yeshua" which means; "He shall save, The Savior, or salvation".
Yeshua or Yehoshua comes from the root ישע yod-shin-‘ayin in Hebrew, meaning "to deliver, save, or rescue". (Jewish Encyclopedia).
You must not pay money or do any act or service to obtain salvation. It is free! Jesus paid highly for it with his painful death. It is His gift to you, you simply have to receive it. Do not think that you must do good works in order to qualify, or that you must inflict pain on your body to attain salvation.
