Love is Sharing

The early church showed a togetherness by sharing their belongings with each other. 

Acts 2:44-45 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.

It is a sad sight to see Christians looking on unconcerned as their fellow Christians that they worship with go hungry and needy.

1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

1 John 3:17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion-how can God's love be in that person?

As Christians, God is beckoning us to a higher calling of walking in love. Love is sharing. Love distinguishes us as Christians. Let us embrace this humble call to love and give accordingly. 

2 Corinthians 8:13-14  Of course, I don’t mean your giving should make life easy for others and hard for yourselves. I only mean that there should be some equality.

 Right now you have plenty and can help those who are in need. Later, they will have plenty and can share with you when you need it. In this way, things will be equal.
