God's Unfathomable Ways

Having a personal relationship with God is very exciting. Choosing the straight and narrow path can be overlaid with tests and trials. However God's grace makes it bearable. We are even able to rejoice in trials and sing through our pain.

The good outweighs the bad with God . And even the bad works for our good in the end. He gives us the high via his joy and peace. God provides for us, sometimes in ways that can only be described as divine. He leads us by His Spirit, and can show us what none other can tell.

To be in love with God is exciting. He shows up unexpectedly sometimes. Like a young lover shows up suddenly with a bouquet of flowers, or even chocolates to surprise his loved one, so does God treat the children He loves .

If we are sensitive to what God does and says to us, we will find each day living for the Lord sweeter than the day before. I have found God to be sweet in the minutest of things to the gigantic.

I have an atheist friend who absurdly loves to listen to Christian songs. I have shared the message of the Cross with my friend, and from time to time, do pray for this friend to be saved.

One day as I was feeling low, I got a text message from my friend, and it read - "Here is a thought 4 u be strong in the lord and pray without ceasing.  The lord is in charge, god bless 4 now ."

I was certainly encouraged because though my friend is still doubtful about God's existence, yet God spoke to me through this same doubtful mind. God is supreme!

God cannot be fathomed.  He spoke through a donkey to Baalam. He said he could raise stones to praise Him. He rained manna (food) from Heaven,  and chose to pave a pathway in the middle of the sea for His children to walk on.

We cannot predict Him. I have learnt to let go and let Him. We have to trust Him as we follow Him. And listen because He talks to us all the time. Even though my friend does not believe in God, I know the Lord used the text message to encourage me.

God created us all and can use us however He desires. And yet such a powerful God is loving and mindful of us, so much so that He allows us to exercise our choice and will power. He never exerts His authority on us, but rather wishes we willingly choose Him, and become His children and co-heirs with Christ.

Join this exciting relationship.  No two days are the same with God, and His ways are far fetched!
