Forever in His Presence

Psalm 23:6  Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
    all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
    forever.

The house of God is simply where His Presence dwells. As Christians, our bodies are the temple of God - 2 Corinthians 6:16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."

1 Corinthians 6:19  Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

When we die, we leave our mortal bodies, but our souls continue to live on in the Presence of God. Those that die in Christ, live on in the presence of God. Heaven is God's dwelling place where His presence abides.

Psalm 11:4 But the Lord is in his holy Temple;
    the Lord still rules from heaven.
He watches everyone closely,
    examining every person on earth.

Palm 103:19 The Lord has made the heavens his throne;
    from there he rules over everything.
