John 2:3-5 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Mary was the Mother of Jesus, yet she had a revelation of who Jesus was and knew His Words were not to be taken lightly. His Words were God's. And God's Words are truth and give life.
The servants took heed to the advice of Mary, and obeyed Jesus. When they did, they saw the miraculous happen. When we obey God and do as He says, we will experience miracles.
Do not try to understand everything God instructs you to do. It may not make sense in the human aspect of reasoning, but if God said so, just obey! The servants wanted wine. But were asked to fill jars with water rather. They obliged. To the human mind, that is not sensible as water is not wine.
The water turned into wine - John 2: 8-9a And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine...
That is what God can do. He makes impossibilities possible when we take the first step of obedience. Follow God's Word, and you will never lack. Follow God's Word and you shall taste sweetness. His Word can alter things and situations. His Words can curtail shame and bring deliverance. His Word works miracles.
Simply do whatever God's Word tells you, as Mary put it simply - “Do whatever he tells you.”
