Where is your heart?

Eyes that see what God is showing are usually eyes with their hearts in the right place. 

Abraham saw the ram because his heart was in the right place. He was at the place of obedience to God's voice. He had humbly set off to sacrifice Isaac in obedience to God's command, even to his own detriment. As a result, God opened his eye to see a ram he could sacrifice instead - Genesis 22.

Moses saw the burning bush because his heart always beat for the Israelites.  He felt their pain and wanted to see them free. God caused Moses to see His wonder in order to send him off to set the Israelites free. The heart of Moses was at the right place. 

When Stephen was being stoned to death, his heart was after Heaven, so he saw the heavens open.  The widow Anna who fasted and prayed continuously for the birth of the Messiah beheld baby Jesus, because her heart was after Jesus.
