The Overtaking Grace

Matthew 20:16 "So the last will be first, and the first will be last."

When God's grace comes upon you, and He shows you favor, He is able to catapult you from grass to glory.

In Matthew 20, we learn of the landowner who hired workers to till his land. Some were hired far earlier than others, and yet he paid everyone the same. This story is likened to the Kingdom of God.

God can cause one who is trailing behind in life to catch up with those who are way ahead, and to even overtake them. Joseph, a slave of Potiphar,  overtook his master and became Lord over him.

God's anointing that caused Elijah to run ahead on foot, and still overtake Ahab on a chariot is still at work today. 1 Kings 18:46 Then the LORD gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab's chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.

When God's power fills and backs you, you become first in every race.

It doesn't matter where you are in the race. Like those that tilled the land in Matthew 20, you could be early or late, but your reward will be the same. That means that in the end, you shall have the same benefits and privileges as those leading you.

You may be starting out late in marriage or in your career, but in the end, you shall not lack any good thing in every area of your life. So much so that your lost years shall be redeemed and not show at all.

Your time and chance is now! An overtaking anointing is available to God's own.  God shall order the footsteps of His own into their wealthy place.

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. Ecclestiastes 9:11
