Jesus set a very good example for us as to how to relate wisely with others and what to disclose to them.
When Jesus walked with the disciples, he would teach others in parables and yet explain the parable to his disciples. When he spoke the parable of the sower for instance, He explained it to His disciples at a later time.
While at Gethsemane, Jesus prayed with a selected few Matthew 26:36-37. At the house of Jairus, he chose only a few of his disciples to go in to pray for the daughter of Jairus.
By so doing, Jesus was not discriminating, He was only showing us a secret in life. Wisdom is selective. You must know in life whom to call a friend and who is an acquaintance. You must know who you can confide in, and who to conceal information from.
At the house of Jairus for instance, Jesus needed to be surrounded with those that had faith in Him and in His works. We must not forget that He was unable to perform much miracles in His hometown because of their unbelief.
