Satan has a way of deceiving us into thinking that the Father cares less about us, and hates us, especially because of a wrong we may have done.
But this is an untruth. Romans 5:8 tells us how God loved us even when we were still sinners. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’
When we live in sin or might have sinned as Christians, wandering off from God's loving arms. He continues to love us and desires that we repent and come home, just like the father of the Prodigal son did.
When we return to God in repentance, He takes us back as a son and friend, and not as a servant. God's love does not foster condemnation. It breeds acceptance.
The lost sheep when found is added to the fold as a sheep, and the shepherd rejoices. Luke 15:3-7
Therefore do not hesitate to return to the Lord in repentance. His love awaits you!
