Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

and he will make your paths straight.
Our understanding as human beings is limited. God is Omniscient - He is all knowing. We must therefore include Him in all our endeavours. We have to inquire from Him when we wage war.
When the enemy comes against us, we must consult with God's Spirit as to how to fight back. His Spirit shall lead us by speaking to us to direct us. For instance, He may speak by gently bringing to our attention a scripture, or by giving us an inner impression of an action to take.
