Fighting Victoriously.

Joshua 7:1 But the Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Karmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.

When God is fighting our battles, we are certain of winning, but when He withdraws, defeat will stare at us in the face.

Joshua as a leader was devastated when his people were defeated by Ai. He therefore sought the face of God and was shown the sin of Achan, which was the cause of their defeat.

What we allow or disallow in our lives can determine our strength in battle. If we go to battle clothed in bitterness, hatred, sexual immorality, lies and its ilk, we are likely to be overcome by the enemy.

As Christians, we are continually in battle and must ensure that we do not hoard unholy things from the enemy's camp. We have to stay clear of anything ungodly, and rid ourselves of the enemy's traits.

Then we will stand strong in God, enjoying victory after victory. Always remember that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9
