The lie of Satan - Part 2

1 John 2:16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

Just like Satan tempted Jesus to put God to the test in order to show forth his power, so does he tempt us to show forth our titles as humans. We tend to take pride in our qualifications and achievements. Some murder for positions and power.

Many men and women engage in unhealthy competitions that often times scars them. These can cause bitter feelings, which mars the beauty of the human soul, and drags men deeper into anger, and further away from God and from His Promises.

This is the working of Satan.
