Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
How many times do we forfeit what God has freely given unto us because we refuse to search for the truths of His Word?
I realised today when I decided to use public transport that I had been paying the wrong price all along. I was actually paying higher than I needed to. I wondered why previous drivers had not alerted me. But the painful truth hit me - it was not their business to tell me. It was my business to read about the fares and choose a suitable one for my journey.
Similarly, God has given unto us all that pertains unto life and godliness through our knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 2 Peter 1:3
However, we can be found lacking and destitute if we refuse to seek and embrace knowledge - knowledge of God who has called us, and knowledge about our Godly inheritance through Christ Jesus.
Do not live in ignorance, and live poor when God has made you rich. You are royalty, seek out your Godly and royal inheritance in Christ Jesus.
