We can easily miss what someone is telling us when we do not pay attention.
God speaks to us all the time, but sometimes we tend not to listen.
We must pay attention to His whispers as well as to His thunderous roars. Sometimes He tells us to show love to that person who doesn't deserve it. Sometimes He beckons to us to give some financial support, to another financial help, or help with food.
There are times He tells us to be quiet, to not say anything. At other times He gives us a word to say in season. To lift another, to heal someone, and even to rebuke someone of wrong doing.
We must be conscious of God's presence in our lives, of His speaking ability, and of impressions He gives us. We must keep His Word close at heart, and use it as a guiding map for our lives.
Isaiah 50:4-5 The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom,
so that I know how to comfort the weary.
Morning by morning he wakens me
and opens my understanding to his will.
5 The Sovereign Lord has spoken to me,
and I have listened.
I have not rebelled or turned away.
