We must be like Jesus who was faced with death and imminent pain, and yet was able to say - "Lord not my will, but your will be done."
We have to accept willingly whatever road God leads us to, for we know in part, but He sees clearly ahead of us.
God knew the pain Jesus was about to face was to reconcile men to Him. God knew that Joseph being sold into slavery would enable him to feed and preserve Israel.
The road may not be easy, but in this walk of faith, we ought to trust the Shepherd to lead the sheep to a safe place. Trust Him on the mountain and trust Him in the valley.
