I have always admired the three Hebrew giants - Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. These three young men had an unwavering faith in God. They knew who God was, irrespective of their circumstances, and nothing could shake this stable faith and belief of theirs.
Priscilla Owens asks -
Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife? When the strong tides lift and the cables strain,Will your anchor drift, or firm remain?
There are certain situations in life that can challenge our faith in God, especially when God appears not to have delivered. It could be that we are faced with danger and God does not seem near. It may be a misfortune that has beset us - why did God allow us to go through a catastrophic event?
We have to reach a point where we trust and serve God no matter what we go through. We must come to a place of knowing God as Sovereign, faithful, good and truthful. By doing so, we will trust and obey God irrespective of where He leads us. This will prevent us from showing reverence to any other god/idol such as materialism.
Kindly do a house cleaning and rid yourself of any doubt and uncertainty about God.
