The last laugh

God has the last laugh reserved for His children. Though weeping may last for the night, joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5

Abraham gave Lot the singular honour to choose a part of the land before them. His nephew Lot surveyed the area and chose the green and blossoming fields, leaving Abraham with the dry part.

There are times in life that as children of God we are given the short end of the stick. We are ridiculed and treated appallingly, and become objects of mockery. But as children of God, our pain compared to the glory ahead, is short lived, for joy, restoration and laughter follows after our suffering.

Abraham had the last laugh, as the land that Lot chose was destroyed by God because of the sinfulness of the inhabitants. On the other hand, Abraham increased and became very wealthy where he resided. He had the last laugh!
