There are certain encounters that can alter our lives forever. But if we are not discerning, we can miss these precious moments.
At Calvary, on Gûlgaltâ, there stood three crosses with three different men on each one of them. One was innocent of the charges against him, and two were guilty. One of the guilty ones looked at the innocent one and discerned he was indeed the Son of God. He thereby seized the opportunity and requested that the Son of God remembers him in paradise. To which Jesus replied - 'today you shall be with me in paradise. "
The sinful but wise man seized the moment to gain Salvation and enter into paradise, whilst his companion mocked him. Before the cross, they were both criminals sentenced to death. Although, an encounter on Calvary transformed the life of a thief because he seized the moment, his friend died in his sin because he did not discern that his saviour was near.
Be discerning and seize divine moments that changes lives.
