Divine Helpers - Part 2

The story of the good Samaritan shows us how certain people who are total strangers can go out of their way to help us immeasurably.  Certain people simply take a liking to us in life, or have their hearts go out to us, thereby showing us love that we do not deserve. When you meet such kind, they are like God sent angels who assuage the stress on life's journey.

Then again, there are certain good works we do for others that come back to us in a double portion. Those we have been good to, remember and reciprocate. In 2 Kings 4:8-17, a Shunammite woman was very kind to Elisha the Prophet. This caused Elisha to bless her in the very area of her need. She bore a child as a result of this blessing.  The Shunammite woman discerned aright whom to help. This brought her great blessing.

Rebekah was also blessed with a husband through a kind act of hers. Genesis 24. The Word of God urges us to be kind to strangers  - Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
