Bitter Jealousy -Part 1

John 3:14-15 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

I have heard Christians who indulge in bitter jealousy and openly admit it as though it was an acceptable character trait. Bitter jealousy is a competetive spirit that desires every good thing for one's self.

Jealousy hates to see another doing better than itself, and abhors it when the other person enjoys the good things we desire for ourselves but cannot have.

Bitter jealousy is not based on love. It is based on greed, selfishness and evil pride.
