For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
God has given gifts to all his children. Like the parable of the talents, God has given us different talents and we must use it, not hide it. Matthew 25:14-30
We must fan our gift by using it. Practice makes man perfect, and experience can build expertise. We have to sharpen our gifts by prayer, studying God's Word, and eschewing timidity. We must boldly step out and use our gifts to bless other souls.

He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze. He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft!
“And I have personally appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be his assistant. Moreover, I have given special skill to all the gifted craftsmen so they can make all the things I have commanded you to make.
