Beyond the Cross!

The Spirit of God beckons us to the cross -  And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment. John 16:8

God's righteousness is found in the work of Jesus on the cross.   2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

When we admit our sinful nature, and come to the cross, we shall find God's righteousness and be clothed in it, and escape the wrath of God's judgement. John 5:24; Ephesians 1:7; Romans 4:5; Romans 5:1

Our salvation does not end at the cross, it only begins there! We are reconciled with God at the cross and admitted into His family. Most at times we tend to limit our salvation story to the cross, and refuse to enjoy life beyond the cross - the actual family life!

Hebrews 6:1-3 So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding.

Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.
