Trusting in the midst of trials.

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.

A heart that truly loves and trusts God will trust in Him 'in spite of,' and not only 'because of.'

I can still see the picture of a man who was executed for his faith in 2012 . Before his death, he stood tall, with his chest out. That picture has never left me.

It spoke of one who was sure of the one in whom he had believed in. He reminded me of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who walked bravely to what could have been their death, all for the love of God!

Job was in great distress, yet he still trusted and hoped in God. He wished to know no other God. He had no intention of forsaking God.  Yes,  he had lost all his worldly possessions and his relations, but Job was still trusting. His love and trust in God was not because of what he owned or the protection he enjoyed.

He simply trusted and loved God.
