It takes faith to take the first step. It took Peter faith to walk on water at the beckoning of Jesus. It took faith for Moses to approach Pharaoh and ask him to release God's people. It took faith for David to ask to fight Goliath. It took faith for Paul to answer the call of Jesus.
This journey of life is a walk of faith. For us to step into what God has purposed for us, we must embrace faith and positivity.
On the outward, and humanly speaking, Peter knew it was impossible to walk on water, Moses knew Pharaoh would not so easily free the Israelites. David knew Goliath was a great warrior that could not be so easily defeated except God intervened. Paul took his experience on the road to Damascus seriously and answered the call of Jesus by faith.
In this new year, you will need faith to walk in all that God has for you. Take the first step towards your dreams and aspirations. Like David, approach Goliath, with your eyes on God.
Your success and victory is in God. It is a done deal but it takes faith to make it accessible to you. Faith will carry you through the hurdles ahead. Faith will refresh you when you are weary, and faith will draw into you God's wisdom to finish off beautifully.
Don't wallow in mediocrity. Don't be complacent, nor be pessimistic. Have faith and take minute steps towards your dream. Like the four lepers who went to Syria, God shall magnify your little steps and give you the victory.
