Satan enjoys to cause God's children pain and hurt. He likes to spread falsehood about them. He managed to get Potiphar's wife to falsely accuse Joseph of attempted rape. The devil uses human agents. These people knowingly or unknowingly play to the devil's tune.
I have had my fair share of the devil spreading falsehood about me. I have experienced false accusations and painful misconceptions. But God has used these experiences to teach me about the devil's tactics.
The devil can create a perfect scenario to spread falsehood about a true Christian. Just as happened to Joseph, he sets the stage so that you may not be able to prove your innocence. Joseph was wrongly convicted of attempted rape because of the devil's schemings to tarnish his image and mock his God given dreams.
When you are falsely accused, pray! It is God that vindicates. In Joseph's case, God vindicated him by making Potiphar and his wife his subjects. They had to call him lord.
