When God is with us.

God said to Moses in Exodus 33:3 - Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way.”

But Moses and the Israelites were distressed about this. For they knew the distinguishing power and worth of God's presence. Moses said to the Lord: Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:15-16.

God's presence was what had preserved the Israelites from the plagues He sent against the Egyptians. It is what caused the sea waters to rise up into walls for them to walk through.  They knew that without the presence of God they would be ordinary.

It was the presence of God that caused their days of slavery in Egypt to be over. It was the presence of God that powerfully jammed the wheels of the chariots of Pharaoh and his army. The power of His presence caused the seas to come down, drowning Pharaoh and his army in the process.

God's presence is endued with power. It is our source of miracles. It changes ordinary things into superordinate things.
