The weapon of prayer

Daniel set himself aside to fast and pray. The answer to his prayer was released by God the first day that he began to pray. However, the answer to his prayer was resisted by demonic forces in the spiritual realms.

There is an unforeseen battle that we as humans are engaged in, knowingly or unknowingly.  It is a battle for our souls. You may ask yourself this question - why was the territorial spiritual Prince of Persia interested in an answer to Daniel's prayer?

Daniel had understood by books that the Israelites ought to be freed from captivity, and was praying for forgiveness and their freedom. The Prince of Persia obviously could not stand to see God's children free.

There are mitigating forces against your soul and against mine; actually against the souls of all men. This is why we ought to pray at all times and not faint. We do not have to fear, for greater is He that is in us, that he that is in the world. Through Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors.

Our eyes must stay on Jesus. He is the Word of God that became flesh. We must abide in Jesus, in God. We have to obey God's  Word, and stay away from harm's way. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith in God. Without Him, we cannot come to the Father.

Just like we saw in the Book of Daniel, there are many blessings released to us as children of God that the devil resists. However as we continue in prayer, we shall overcome and physically enjoy these blessing of healing, prosperity, peace, et cetera.

Prayer is one of our weapons as children of God. Let us use it efficiently.
