The Presence of God

Daniel 3:24-25
Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”


Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not bow to an image King Nebuchadnezzar had made for everyone to bow to. This infuriated the King who ordered that they be put in a hot furnace. The furnace was very hot and killed even those that carried them to it.


However, the presence of God made the difference when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego went into the same burning furnace that had earlier killed their bearers.  When God entered the furnace, everything hot in there cooled down.


They were tied up and thrown into the hot furnace,  however the presence of God unbound them, and they were able to walk freely in the cool furnace.


God's presence does wonders. It breaks off our chains and makes any fire we go through bearable. God's presence can deliver us from what killed others. His presence is simply awesome!
