Safe in His Presence!

Psalm 31:20 You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues.

Daniel was strict with his worship of God. When men rose up against him, they conspired to get him trapped via his religious practices - Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy.  So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.” Daniel 6:4-5

As planned, they succeeded with their conspiracy, and Daniel was thrown into a lion's den. God was with Daniel in the lion's den, and shut the mouths of the lions thereby rendering them harmless. God hid Daniel in the shelter of His presence, safe from his conspirators and far from accusing tongues.

Daniel lived to see the death of his accusers. They were thrown into the lion's den and torn apart by the lions - The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God. Then the king gave orders to arrest the men who had maliciously accused Daniel. He had them thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart before they even hit the floor of the den. Daniel 6:23-24

Daniel was fond of God and spent ample time with Him in the secret place, therefore he dwelt in the shadow of the Almighty, and was protected from all harm and evil.

There is protection from evil in the presence of God. Spend time with God, He will deliver you from evil, and cause your enemies to fall into the traps they have laid for you .
