Good friends communicate with each other. They talk to one another, as well as listen to each other. That is the kind of relationship God wants to have with us.
God desires that we spend time talking to Him in prayer - men ought to pray and not faint. We have to pray without ceasing.
God loves to listen to us - The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; It is said of God -
You who hear prayer, to you all men will come.
As a loving Father and friend, God expects us to listen to Him when He talks to us - My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
Take time to talk to God, and to listen to Him.
