Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Joseph was longing to be released from prison. I guess he had learnt from one disappointment to another not to raise his hopes. His dream after dream had been dashed. He believed in God, in spite of it all, and hoped all his sufferings would one day end.
God knew Joseph's thoughts. God heard his plea to the King's butler to make mention of him to the King so he could be granted amnesty from prison. Unknown to Joseph, he was walking with the Lord that does exceedingly above what we ask or think.
Joseph only wanted freedom from imprisonment. Yet God gave him more - freedom and elevation, as well as a re-union with his lost family. God is still in the business of surprising us by blessing us beyond our wildest dreams.
Keep having faith. Keep serving God! Keep praising His Holy name, for no eye has seen, no ear has heard what God has in store for you who love Him.
