Matthew 4:1-11
When Jesus was tempted by the devil, the Word of God was quoted by both satan and Jesus. This exposed a great truth that satan and his kingdom misquote the Word of God.
We have to diligently study God's Word. This is because satan and his kingdom are still in the business of distorting God's Word and shrewdly presenting it as truth. The devil quoted true scriptures of God, but cunningly used them in the wrong concept.
The Lord Jesus was sound in his knowledge of God's Word. In fact, He is the Word of God - John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
God's truth is simple, but can easily evade us. This is because the devil is working tediously to distort the truth of God. Unless we regard the Holy Spirit whom Jesus left on Earth to teach us and lead us into all truth, we can easily be misled.
