Acts 8:29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”
Acts 10:19-20 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you. So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”
Acts 13:2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Acts 16:6-7 Paul and his companions travelled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.
Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit. John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
The Holy Spirit led the early Christians as we have seen above. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and is still in the business of leading us into every truth. We must acknowledge Him and listen for His Guidance. He is real and every believer of Jesus must yearn for a closer relationship with Him.
We cannot live a victorious Christian life without the Holy Spirit. The impact we ought to make as Christians lessens when we leave the Holy Spirit out of the equation.
Pray for a refreshing relationship with the Holy Spirit. Pray and ask for His guidance. Pray for Him to teach you, to counsel you and to comfort you. And lastly, to discern His voice.
