As human beings, we are often limited by the unknown. We cannot always fathom how things would eventually turn out. We may make wrong investments, decisions and can take wrong turns that hold pain and many tears.
God calls on us to trust him wholly - Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight.
We ought to trust God to guide us in every way. Lot chose to follow what was easy on the eye. He walked into numerous troubles, and lost his wife in the process.
We ought to make our thoughts known to God. We have to acknowledge His guidance and listen for His voice. Whilst walking with God, we must accept His leading and follow Him by faith. Even though we may not understand all of His plans, we ought to simply trust His wisdom.
Like the songwriter we must be able to say -
Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom, Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom, By waters still, o’er troubled sea, Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.
