Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Man, born of a woman is of the Adamic sinful nature. No one needs to teach a human being to sin, it is our second nature. Our sinfulness leads us to the wide road of destruction. However, there is an escape route - a narrow way that leads to salvation and eternal life. Jesus is that way!
We cannot bypass Jesus and reach our destination. He is the gate to this road. He enables us to use this route, and He strengthens us on this journey, for it is a rough road. We have prayer stops on this way, it is advised that you stop regularly at these to rejuvenate. The Word of God is our fuel, regular purchase of this makes our journey a smooth and enjoyable one. There are hurdles and obstacles on the way, yet we are assured of angelic guards. The Holy Spirit is our navigator, and the lives of those that have gone ahead of us, light the paths for us, lest we fall into traps that easily besets people on this road.
There are armed robbers on the detours from this way, but as long as we stay on the narrow path, we happen to be out of harm's way. The journey may not be an easy one,however, it is possible to embark on this journey and to safely reach your destination. Determination is essential, for with God all things are possible.
