Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
God is well able to do more than we can ask or think of. Whatever you are expecting from Him can be doubled and tripled - there is no end to His infinite love and power! In Acts 3:1-10, we read about a lame man who sat by the beautiful gate begging for money. His expectation as Peter and John walked past, was to get some alms from them. However, God had more for this man. Whatever you are thinking in your heart today, and expecting God to do for you, He is well and able to give you more. Just reach out!
This lame man was expectant - seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. His expectation was not cut off. In the same way, your expectation will be met by the grace of God - Proverbs 23:18 For surely there is a future hope; and your expectation shall not be cut off. The expectation of the lame man gave him the key to tap into the more than expected miracle grace of God.
To have more than you expect from God, you must ask for something and think on an expected result - is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. God multiplies what we ask for, or what we think on. Therefore, we must watch our words and thoughts, and be sure they are in line with our expectation. God through Peter, gave this lame man more than he expected - Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
You shall enjoy this same grace - ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you.
