Ephesians 5:20 Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Job said in Job 2:10 - Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble? If we are genuine and true worshippers of God, then we are not serving Him for any ulterior motives. True worshippers serve God because they love Him, and not because of what they can get from Him. God wants us to be joyful at all times, and to have a thankful heart. Job praised the name of the Lord even though he had lost his children and wealth. Job was not aware of the plots of Satan against his life, but he still thanked the Lord, his faith was steadfast in God, hence he was able to declare even when stricken with sickness that - Job 23:10 Because he knows the road on which I travel, when he had tested me, I'll come out like gold.
We must be like Job, and have a heart that thanks God in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in. We must be like the Psalmist who said - I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1
God is faithful even when we walk through the shadow of death. We must therefore fear no evil, for He is with us. Let us praise and thank God, for everything will work out for our good in the end. Have a thankful heart, it is the mark of a true child of God.
