The Peace of God
Isaiah 32:17-20
The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely, how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream, and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.
When we are in right standing with God, He grants us quiet confidence in His faithfulness. This simple trust in God instills in us an inner peace we cannot explain. This is the peace that enabled Jesus to sleep through a storm. It is the peace that caused Paul and Silas to sing though imprisoned. This peace led to the confidence Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego demonstrated before they were thrown into a burning surface.
When all around you is chaos, if your trust is in God ,you shall know His peace. Isaac did sow in famine, yet reaped a hundred fold. When you are right with God, it does not matter what is against you. God can work all things for your good, and give you results that beats all human understanding.
Psalm 30:15
This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.
To enjoy this peace of God, you must first be repentant of your sins. You must come to God with a right heart. In repentance and rest is your salvation. Repentance brings rest, and rest in God means you are standing right with Him and have been saved. Once saved by God through His
Son Jesus, you must learn to be still before Him, to spend some quiet time with Him, learning from Him, praying to Him and trusting Him. Then shall your strength be renewed daily to face all that comes your way.
The peace of God is available to all who seek to be right with God.
