Acts 14:15-18
“Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. In the past, he let all nations go their own way. Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy."
God has not left himself without testimony - He has surrounded man with a lot of His splendour. The very formation of a human being is intriguing. Beautiful and diverse flowers , animals, and varied living things grace the Earth, beautifying our planet . We get all sorts from these - our food, clothing, medicine ,etc.
All around us, the presence of God yells at us in thunderings and lightnings. God whispers his love via sunshine and moonlight. He affirms His promises by rainbows, and confirms His sovereignty by making foolish, man's wisdom - men keep making new findings, thus abandoning old findings. God does not force Himself on man, but has given us the will power to acknowledge or deny Him.
The trail of God cannot lie. And within every man is a need. Men are in need of something to satisfy an inner need. Many are not aware of what they actually need. Certain people seek to satisfy this looming need by finding love, but are soon disappointed. Others seek to quench this need through riches, but after obtaining great riches, they often than not still feel a vacuum in their lives. People look for God through all sorts of queer mediums.
God created man in His image, and breathed into us to make us living beings. God is in us, therefore to deny Him is to be in self denial of who we truly are. God is as close to you as your breath. For your breath is from His breath. Don't look far, God is nearer than you think. Call on Him and He shall hear you. Draw close to Him, and He will draw close to you.
