God's favour - Part 2

Again, Joseph suffered injustice . This time he was falsely accused of attempted rape and imprisoned. Even in prison, Joseph still found favour with man, because God favoured him - Genesis 39:20-23 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined. But while Joseph was there in the prison, the LORD was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.

Joseph enjoyed great favour, even through trials. The great favour of God on his life eventually elevated him to the position of a prime minister Genesis 41:41-43 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

The favour of God comes upon those who love God and put Him first in their lives. God favours those who have faith in Him and seek after holiness and righteousness. I pray that God's favour shall rain on us, for it makes a way where there seems to be no way. Psalm 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. When the favour of God is on us, He restores us and answers us speedily when we call on Him - Psalm 102: 16-17 For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.

May God favour you and I, AMEN!
