The splendour of God

God's greatness is awesome. There is no telling of His power. What man deems impossible is possible with God. Matthew 19:26 confirms this -Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

When God steps in , what is naturally impossible becomes possible. Joshua was able to cause the sun to stand still. He believed in God's power and spoke to the sun to stand still for night not to come. God listened, and night was delayed a whole day - Then spoke Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand you still on Gibeon; and you, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves on their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the middle of heaven, and hurried not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD listened to the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. Joshua 10:12-14

Joshua tuned in to God's wavelength. He knew that humanly speaking, there is always day and night. He needed daylight in order to fight, he therefore moved in faith, and spoke to the sun to stand still. God listened to the voice of man and caused the sun to stand still. The impossible became possible. In like manner, Jesus was able to speak to the stormy seas for it to listen and calm down. God shut the mouth of lions so they would not harm Daniel. God was able to make a walking path in the middle of the sea for His children to walk on. God raised Lazarus who had died for four days. Many things that are deemed humanly impossible are made possible when God steps in, His power and splendour is evident, in that the impossible becomes possible.

Think God, think possibilities!
