The Solution

In John 5, we read about Jesus at the pool of Bethesda where He meets an invalid man, and asks him - ''do you want to get well?'' To which he replies - “Sir, ... I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

How many times do we act like this man? We go to God many times telling Him about our troubles, limitations, obstacles, difficulties, and what have you. We go on about it without considering His Word and promises to us.

Just yesterday I was rattling on about certain difficulties I was saddled with, and how I sometimes felt God was doing nothing to help me. Well not long after this I had quite an interesting chat with a total stranger, it was about how social networks, and various applications has brought the world together through the magic of instant messages, chats and updates. Then it occurred to me that just as God instantly hears our prayers to Him, so has humans tapped into the possibility of instant chats. It is somewhat the breadth of God in us that enables us to invent such wonders. This is only a minute bit of God.

God is in us. Jesus lives in us. John 14:23 reads Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. If you love the Lord, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit live in you. What this means is that truth lives in you, you have life, wisdom resides in you, the power that raised Jesus from death lives in you. The great Healer resides in you, The good Shepherd lives in you, The miracle worker is in you.

What is your need? Just as Jesus asked the invalid - ''do you want to get well?'' He is asking you today - "Do you want to be delivered? Do you want direction in the midst of confusion? Do you want a miracle? Do you want the truth about anything? Do you want a dead situation to gain life? What do you want?????

Whatever your need, the answer is much closer to you. To the invalid, the answer or solution to his problem was standing right in front of him. To you and I, our answer lives in us. He is God. He says, call upon me in the day of trouble and I shall hear and answer you. In John chapter 1, Jesus is introduced as the Word of God. God's Word has the solution for every problem or need. We need to have faith and declare God's Word. It has the power to create whatever we want. The Holy Spirit works to create what God's Word says. God is not a man that He should lie. He will accomplish whatever He has said.

The solution lies in the Word of God - speak it, sing about it, live it, war with it .....then, you have the answer!

We must hear Jesus out, we must pay attention to His Word. Pause!!! God knows your problems even before you tell Him - Isaiah 65 :24 I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

God is willing to answer you, remind Him of His Word, His very promises to you. He seeks to give you the solution, listen to His voice through His Word.
