As shown above, the Bible teaches us to be kind to strangers. We must master the act of kindness for we never can tell whom we are talking to. It is easier to show kindness to someone we are fond of, or someone we know and love. However, we must be civil and kind to people we do not personally know as well. We must not place ourselves in a vunerable position, but must try to be kind all the same.
Abraham and Lot entertained strangers who happened to be God, and messengers of God - Genesis 18:1-2 and Genesis 19:1. Rebecca entertained a stranger and that opened the door of marriage for her: Genesis 24. Angels throughout the Bible sometimes disguise themselves and appear to people as mere men. You may never know if the person you have just been unkind to and bypassed, is the angel of God sent to bring your blessing.

Let the words of Jesus guide your actions - Matthew 25 : 31 - 36
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
