A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.
God is a perfect Creator. He created us by placing everything perfectly in its place. He has deposited in us everything we need to be successful in this life. God expects us to function perfectly, He created us to show off His expertise.
God placed a gift in Joseph - it was a gift to interpret dreams. His gift brought him before a great man , the king. This encounter changed his life and caused him to move from grass to glory. In a day, he was granted permission to trade his prison clothes for robes of fine linen - Genesis 41: 39 -44 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.”
So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.
Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt.”
There is a gift in you, awaiting to be discovered and uncovered, to usher you into greatness. In 1Timothy 4:14, Paul urged Timothy not to neglect his gift -Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
Paul further taught Timothy to fan his gift to flame, that is to say, bring it to life; light it up,; bring it out of obscurity! 2 Timothy 1:5 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
First of all, you must acknowledge that God has a purpose and plan for you :
Isaiah 49:1 "Before I was born the Lord called me"
Jeremiah 1:5 ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
You can exercise your gift by using the power embedded in you. You have the Spirit of God in you. He raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and is able to bring to life any dead situation, or help any dead seed in your life to germinate.
Tap into the power of God through prayer, fasting and Bible studies. Tap into the spiritual circuit by believing and declaring God's Word, and standing on His Promises for your Life as declared in the Bible. Whatever God says you are is what you are - simply believe!
Secondly, control your thoughts. Your thoughts manifest in the physical, so paint the right pictures in your mind. As a man thinks, so is he. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but that of power, love and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Walk in love. Joseph walked in love, that is why God's gift in him was set aflame. Love conquers all things, including obscurity and brings us into greatness. Joseph showed this love when he freely forgave his brothers.
Let your life count on Earth. May Mother Earth enjoy the splendour of your gift. Do not be like the man who buried his talent in the parable of the talents - Matthew 25:14-30 .
Let your gift count, for it is your treasure and key to success!
